Triggerwave ("we", "us", "our") operates the mobile game Magnitude Kaiju (the "Game"). This page describes what data is collected when you use the Game, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number or contacts, and we do not collect your precise location. The Game does not require an account or login.
The following data is collected automatically while you play, through the third-party services described below:
Your progress (levels beaten, stars and best scores) and your settings (sound, graphics and haptics) are saved locally on your device. They are never transmitted to us, and deleting the Game deletes them.
The daily cities have leaderboards. If you are signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), your daily scores are sent to that service and appear on its leaderboards with your Game Center or Play Games name, where other players can see them. Signing in is optional and handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
The Game is free and shows ads, served through Unity LevelPlay, which chooses ads from advertising networks including ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. These services receive the device information, advertising identifier, approximate location and ad interactions described above, to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalize them.
When you first open the Game in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, it asks for your consent, using Google's consent tool, before the Game or our advertising partners store or access information on your device for personalized ads, ad measurement or analytics. You can consent, decline, or choose by purpose and by partner. Your choice is stored on your device and passed to our advertising partners in the standard IAB Transparency & Consent Framework format.
You can change your choice at any time in the Game: open Settings and tap Privacy choices.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with these service providers, which process it to run the features above, each under its own privacy policy:
Under some laws (such as California's), sharing information with advertising partners for personalized ads can count as "selling" or "sharing". You can opt out at any time with your device's ad settings described above. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our players and ourselves.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play, under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation of what was bought, never your payment information. What you have bought is also remembered on your device, and the store's record of your purchases is used to restore them, for example on a new device.
The Game handles purchases with Unity In-App Purchasing, which reports each purchase (the item, its price and currency, the store's order and transaction details, the device model and operating system and, on iPhone, the identifier Apple gives our apps on your device) to Unity Technologies, to provide sales reporting. It does not receive your payment information or your advertising identifier. The Game's analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase, section 5) also records each purchase: the item, its price and currency, and the store's order number.
Apple may share anonymous crash reports and app analytics with us if you have chosen to share them with app developers in your device settings. If you test the Game through TestFlight, Apple may also share crash reports, usage information and any feedback you choose to send with us, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. We use this information only to fix problems and improve the Game.
The Game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Game and you would like their information deleted, please contact us.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or California law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request; because the Game has no accounts, we may need an identifier from your device to find your data. Uninstalling the Game stops all collection.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and personalized ads, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the Game stable and secure for crash reports.
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Our service providers may process it in the United States and other countries, with the safeguards those providers put in place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
